Title: Dynamic Working Conditions
Prompt: I was wondering if you'd be up for a Shawn/Murph/Lassie triangle? I'd love to see how that would work. Their work timez interaction could be pretty amazing, and if someone can pull that off, that would be you. <3
Characters: Lt. Connie Murphy, Det. Sid Kirmani, Det. Carlton Lassiter, Det. Juliet O’Hara, and Shawn Spencer.
Rating: PG
Pairings: Remarkably ship free.
Warnings: None.
Author’s Notes: You know, I think Murphy would fit in well with the Psych crew and every fic I write where she works with them, I feel a little more like I should write the writers with that suggestion. Anyway, once again, I had fun with the cast and the case. Once again, hoping to make people grin when they read.

“A trip to Santa Barbara on the department’s dime and in January, can you believe our luck, boss?” Kirmani grinned at her from the passenger seat of the rental car, his short hair twitching a little in the wind. They both had their windows down because it was 67 in Santa Barbara and only 13 in Chicago. There was no way they couldn’t be a little excited to get out of the winter hell they left behind.

“We’re here to work,” she reminded him. “Not play.”

“Hey, I’m one hundred percent focused on the case.”

“Yeah, that’s why you’re staring at those girls instead of the case file in your lap.”

Luckily for Kirmani’s attention span she made the turn into the Santa Barbara police department parking lot and bikini clad girls gave way to mostly middle aged men in uniform blues. It was hard to miss Kirmani’s small sigh of disappointment. She rolled her eyes at the general predictability of guys and parked by the front steps.

Getting out of the car she held up her badge to a passing uniform, “I’m looking for Detectives Lassiter and O’Hara.”

“Inside, but watch out, the hurricane’s with them.”

“Hurricane?” Kirmani asked after she thanked the uniform and started up the steps to head inside.

“You know how much working with Harry drives you insane?” She held open the front door for him. “You’re about you meet your soul mate.”
